Scooby
Poor Scooby was brought to our attention by a concerned neighbor. For four years, he had been chained out in a
back yard and ignored... fed on occasion, never once petted or touched. The neighbor who had been feeding him
so that he did not starve finally got permission from Scooby's owner to call for help.

He was suffering from life long demodectic mange. This is not contagious at all; it is immune related; and while it is
treatable, it is a long, slow process. It left Scooby with almost no fur, skin infections, and exposure to the sun and
cold. We truly don't know how he survived this past winter, or any winter for that matter.

Scooby was scared to death of all people at first. He cowered at the end of his chain, barking and growling. But
when I finally edged close enough to reach out and touch him, he sank into my touch and totally gave himself
over. Poor Scooby... a little love was all he ever wanted.

Once here, he turned into a complete love bug!!! He started his demodex treatments and within just three weeks,
we could see hair growth. He continues to improve.... check back as he progresses!!

Scooby will need a wonderful home soon. He loves other dogs and is a great, well mannered house dog. Can
anyone give him the spoiled home he deserves after all those years alone and in pain?
