DOGS FOR ADOPTION
All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on all medical, and are house
pets. They are now waiting for their permanent families to claim them!
BAXTER

Baxter is a very cute, very sweet lab mix. He weighs about 40 lbs, is very well mannered, loves other dogs and
everyone he meets! He is eager to please, easy to train, and would make a wonderful family dog!!! He is
approximately 6 to 8 months old.

He is not good with cats, however, nor with other small animals (chickens, etc). So unfortunately, we were unable
to safehouse him here, and he is being housed in the New Kent County animal shelter. We want to help him find a
wonderful home, though, so please contact us directly or contact Melissa at the shelter:

Let's get this sweet young boy a great home!!!!
POSEY

Posey is approximately 10-12 weeks old, and is simply the Cutest Puppy in the World (tho I may be a bit
biased!!) She certainly has lab in her, but is pretty small and we think will only be 30-40 lbs when grown. She is
cuddly, playful, full of life and fun!! She plays great with the other dogs and is unimpressed with the cats. She
loves to play in the water!! She is by nature a quiet puppy; laid back, not hyper. She is also independent, and
can take a toy and go lay down by herself to play.
She was turned into the pound to be euthanised, as her owners said she was sick and in liver failure!!!! Well,
we didn't believe it, and sure enough all of her blood tests have come back showing her to be in perfect health!!
She does need work on housetraining, but she is still young and learning of course. She does use our doggy
door most of the time!!!
Posey will be spayed soon and will be ready for her forever family to spoil her rotten!!!
UPDATE 4/6/07: Baxter has been adopted!!!!!! Thank you Ellen, Bill and Robert
for bringing this boy into your home and hearts!!!!

JIMMY

This is a courtesy listing for the New Kent Animal Shelter! Let's get Jimmy adopted!!!

Jimmy was picked up on Interstate 64, 4/10/07 by a kind citizen, near the 205 Exit. He was not
wearing a collar. They took him home and gave him a warm place to stay and a bath and then he
decided to chase their cats and chickens. They said he appears to be housetrained and gets
along great with other dogs and kids. He has been to the vet and is HW negative and has had a
distemper/parvo combo vacc and a bordatella vacc. Jimmy has what appears to be an old injury
or maybe a birth defect, it makes his gait odd, his back feet kind of turn outwards a bit, but he
does not appear to be in pain, nor does it slow him down!!
ADOPTED!!
