New Hope Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, set up to help
equines and other animals in need in our area through rescue, adoption,
education, and veterinary/spay/neuter assistance.  We do not have a
shelter, but rather the animals are homed with volunteers while they are
being rehabilitated. Some animals are ready for adoption quite quickly;
others take many long months to overcome physical and emotional
abuses. We don't rush them. We do offer them new hope for a brighter
future.

Our group is run solely with donations.  Please visit the

WE LOVE OUR VETERINARIANS!!!!!!
We couldn't do ANY of this without their help.
They save the ones that come to us sick and injured, they help us make decisions that no-one wants to make, they
support us and they cry with us.  They are our heroes!!!!!!

The mustangs: A mustang mare and her four year old filly, found starving in a mud pit
of a pen. I have to wonder...
How many of the BLM

Southern States SHOW Program

This is a BIG fundraiser for us!! And
it's an easy one-- all you do is cut the
proof of purchase symbols off the
backs of your bags of Triple Crown or
Legends horse feeds. Save them up
for a bit... then send them to us!!
That's it!!

We redeem each POP for cash to be
used towards feed and vet bills. Each
POP brings us .25 cent. And boy, do
they add up!!

Please spread the word about this to
your friends!!!

THE MACAW RESCUES
This situation was, for me, one of the most heartbreaking to
date. It's taken me months to re-visit the photos of where the
birds were, in order to tell their story here. Click below to read

NEW!! Feed A Meal Program!!! Donate a meal for one of our permanent residents, and help us pay the
feed bills! One of our biggest expenses is the daily feed bill.
Here is a rough breakdown of how you can help!
Allistair and Baldric each eat about 8 lbs of feed a day (plus veggies, fruits, and other treats and grazing). The
feed itself averages out to about $3.00 a day per pig. Click on one of the links above to feed that piggy for a
day!!

The horses: We have four permanent
residents (equines who are not adoptable due
to age/ soundness issues): Zephyr, Sugar,
Ruby, and Gertrude the donkey. They eat, all
totalled, approximately 25 lbs of feed a day,
plus free choice hay. This averages out to
about $12 a day, or $2.40 per horse per day.

***Update: the auction was a smashing success!!!!!***

I want to thank everyone who participated in our first annual online auction, "Old Treasures For new
Hope". Thanks to all of you, the auction raised ***$11,000.00*** for New Hope!!!!!

A special thanks goes out to Susan's Selections and More than Moving in Richmond, who
sponsored the auction. If you've never visited Susan's Selections, you're missing out on a
warehouse full of antiques and treasures!!
And the biggest thanks goes out to Ms. Sandra Wayne, who thought up the idea, developed it, and
ran with it. She poured untold hundreds of hours into making this a success. Thank you, Sandra,
you are a true hero for all of the animals in our care!!
